In some cases phone support or even remotely controlling a client's PC is not enough to resolve an issue, sometimes a problem is of a such a nature that a technician has to come on site. If the problem is hardware related, no amount of talking on the phone or clicking the screen will fix the component; the hardware (be it a hard drive, video card, motherboard, etc.) will need to be replaced. Likewise, if there is a corrupted volume or an Operating System issue, then the either the OS installation will have to be repaired or re-installed completely. In these and similar cases an Absolute IT Engineer can come on-site and resolve the problem.
